Happy to provide documentation needed for you to seek possible reimbursement for out-of-pocket services through insurance or other funding sources.
Parent Collaboration
Waiting to start ABA services? Child not qualifying for ‘enough’ hours at your current ABA agency? Don’t have an autism diagnosis? Want someone to help you implement strategies with your child?
This would require some assessment (direct and/or indirect - interviews, observations, goal or program writing, etc.) to determine treatment goals and baselines. At least two direct meetings per month would be required initially, more may be recommended based on treatment goals.
Direct sessions will include talking through strategies and implementation, problem solving, and others based on treatment goals. It may be recommended for the child to be with you for part of the direct session to practice implementing strategies based on treatment goals.
Once meetings begin, indirect work may also be required for documentation, program updates, material creation, or other situations which will be discussed before they are completed. Based on intensity, frequency, or potential for harm of the behaviors, more hours may be recommended. Services are billed in 15 min increments.
60 mins | $150 direct (primarily Telehealth) $100 indirect
IEE FBA
Independent Educational Evaluation, Functional Behavior Assessment
For parents who may disagree with the behavior plan, FBA, or other portions of their child’s IEP after the district has completed theirs - think of it as a second opinion.
As someone with 5-6 years experience working in public school districts completing FBAs, BIPs, and IEPs and another 5-6 years doing extensive collaboration, observations, and IEP attendance to support clients, I may be a great option for you! I have experience with PDA, extreme refusal, behaviors that are dangerous to the child themselves or others, elopement, and understanding how sensory needs or stress/anxiety can impact behaviors. As a neurodivergent person myself, I may understand things that other assessors do not.
The cost of IEEs can often be reimbursed or paid for by the school district. Please check with an advocate, lawyer, or the district to ensure the proper steps are followed for it to be reimbursed or paid for by the district.
FBAs typically include 10-12 hours of observations, interviews, questionnaires, direct assessments, indirect assessments, or other measures as needed. Attendance at the IEP to review findings and answer questions related to the report is also included. To my understanding, the district is not required to implement my findings but is required to take them into account when developing the IEP.
A Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) would also be provided based on the findings of the FBA, if needed.
Available in the greater San Jose, Palo Alto, and Fremont area, based on availability.
IEE- FBA | Your District/SELPA Maximum FBA fee or $170/hr (direct, indirect, and IEP attendance)
Direct Sessions
Does your child need some support with social skills? Need someone to help them create routines or strategies for daily living activities? Talk through behaviors, find replacement behaviors, or coping strategies?
This would be provided via telehealth and is based on availability. This modality typically works best with children, teenagers, or adults who are at least fairly independent navigating the computer, can follow directions related to the activities, and can answer questions on their own or with some prompting. The specific topics and activities will be individualized based on treatment goals and baseline data.
This would require some assessment (direct and/or indirect - interviews, observations, goal or program writing, etc.) to determine treatment goals and at least two direct meetings per month to start with. More may be recommended based on the assessment and treatment goals. Over time, one meeting per month with the child may be appropriate based on progress and treatment goals. It is recommended to have at least one check in with the parents per month to discuss treatment progress and share strategies and targets from session that can be used outside of sessions.
Once meetings begin, indirect work may also be required for documentation, program updates, material creation, or other situations which will be discussed before they are completed. Services are billed in 15 min increments.

School Collaboration
Is your child’s private school, after school program or preschool concerned about your child’s behavior? Are you worried about their behavior? Being able to meet their wants and needs? Engagement or social skills in their school setting? If the staff are open to collaboration, let’s work together!
This would require some assessment (direct and indirect - interviews, observations, goal or program writing, etc.) and at least two direct meetings or observations per month. Once meetings and observations begin, indirect work may also be required for documentation, program updates, material creation, or other situations which will be discussed before they are completed. Based on intensity, frequency, or potential for harm of the behaviors, more hours may be recommended. Services are billed in 15 min increments. It is recommended that school staff and parents attend the direct meetings, if possible, to help with consistency across settings.
*this is only offered in the Bay Area and if space allows for adequate support
**depending on location, additional fee for travel may be required

Looking for something else?
Let me know if there is another service related to social skills, executive functioning, daily living skills, functional communication, or neurodivergent-affirming ABA. I may not be able to provide the specific service you are looking for but I am happy to provide additional resources or references

My Services
After our initial consult, I may ask for additional reports, information or for another meeting, free of charge, to ensure we are a good fit.
If services are recommended, we will meet to discuss the basic plan and fee for the intake before I begin. This will likely include some assessment, interviews, or observations to identify specific goals for you and your child. For a more complicated case, this may require more hours to complete the assessment. For a simple case, this may require only a few hours to complete the initial intake. This may be a combination of direct and indirect work as needed but will be discussed before it is completed.
After the intake is complete, we will go through the hours and service recommendations, including goals and any potential limitations, for you or your child. You will then be able to decide if you agree we are a good match. From there, we can discuss the service schedule and on-going fees to match the hours and service recommendations.
If it is determined at any point that we are not a good match, I will do my best to provide additional resources or references for you!
